The Beautification Transformation Project – Rules, Terms, and conditions

1. Promoter
The Beautification Transformation Project (“Promoter”) is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental cleanup, community engagement, and creative reuse of materials.


2. Contest Overview
The Beautification Transformation Project Art Contest invites Artists and Students to create artwork made from recycled and reclaimed materials. The purpose of this contest is to inspire creativity, promote sustainability, and beautify communities through art.

3. Eligibility

  • The Contest is open to residents of the United States aged 18 and older (“Artists”) and Students 
aged 14–18 (“Student Artists”). Students under the age of 18 will need consent by a parent or 
legal guardian.
  • Employees, board members, and immediate family members of the the Promoters and Sponsors 
are not eligible to participate.
  • Entrants/Artists must agree to these Official Rules as a condition of entry.
  • Artists acknowledge that the The Beautification Transformation Project is the sole Promoter and the Sponsors are not.

4. Entry Period
The entry period begins on April 1, 2026 and ends on August 31, 2026. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

5. How to Enter

Professional Category

1. Artists must submit an original drawing, sketch, or digital concept representing a proposed artwork made primarily from recycled materials such as metal, cans, wood, glass bottles, paper products, cloth, or stone.

2. Submissions must include:

  • A detailed concept drawing or rendering
  • A brief description (300–500 words) of the concept and materials to be used

3. From all submissions, at least ten (10) Artists will be selected to create their proposed works.

4. Selected Artists will have 30 days to complete and submit their finished artwork for judging.

5. From the Professional Artist entries, three winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be chosen to receive 
cash prizes.

6. One entry per artist.

Student Category

1. Artists must submit an original drawing, sketch, or digital concept representing a proposed artwork made primarily from recycled materials such as metal, cans, wood, glass bottles, paper products, cloth, or stone.

2. Student Artists must submit original AI-assisted concept drawings created using tools 
such as ChatGPT and Midjourney.

Submissions must include:

  • AI-generated artwork concept drawing, sketch, or rendering
  • A brief written statement (150–300 words) explaining the creative process and how AI tools 
were used

3. From all submissions, at least ten (10) Artists will be selected to create their proposed works.

4. Selected Artists will have 30 days to complete and submit their finished artwork for judging.

5. From the Student Artists entries, three winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be chosen to receive 
cash prizes.

6. One entry per artist.

6. Submission Guidelines

  • Entries must be original, created solely by the Entrant/Artist, and may not infringe on the rights 
of any third party. All Artists represent and warrant that their artwork does not infringe on the 
rights of any third party.
  • No entry may contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry deemed unsuitable in it’s sole discretion.

7. Judging Criteria
Entries/Artists will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Promoter. Decisions of the judges 
are final and binding.


Judging will be based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality (30%)
  • Use of recycled materials (30%)
  • Execution and craftsmanship (40%)

8. Prizes
Selected Artists may or may not receive material stipends or support as determined by the Promoter. Additional recognition or exhibition opportunities may or may not be provided.

Professional Category:

  • 1st Place: $2500 cash prize
  • 2nd Place: $1500 cash prize
  • 3rd Place: $500 cash prize

Student Category (College and High School):

  • 1st Place: $1000 cash prize
  • 2nd Place: $500 cash prize
  • 3rd Place: $250 cash prize

All winners are advised to consult with a CPA on the tax implications of receiving a cash prize.


9. Ownership and Rights

All artwork, designs, submissions, and related materials (collectively “Works”) created for or submitted to the Contest become the sole property of The Beautification Transformation Project.

  • By entering, participants irrevocably assign and transfer all rights, title, and interest in the Works, including but not limited to all copyrights and display rights, to the Promoter.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to reproduce, exhibit, publish, sell, or otherwise use the Works for promotional, educational, or fundraising purposes without additional compensation to the Artists.

10. Publicity


The Beautification Transformation Project may feature participating artwork through its website, social media platforms, promotional materials, and other publications. Accordingly, each Contestant/Artist is required to provide digital photographs and/or video that document and highlight the artwork and its impact. Such materials may include images of individuals involved in or benefiting from the project. When individuals are identifiable, the Contestant/Artist must obtain signed photo and media release forms and retain them with project-related records.

All photographs and video submitted will become the property of The Beautification Transformation Project. Artists are encouraged to promote their participation in the project. Any public announcements, press releases, news features, or other communications related to the project must acknowledge The Beautification Transformation Project. All published materials must include the organization’s logo and receive prior approval from the designated organizational representative. The Contestant agrees to notify The Beautification Transformation Project of any planned publicity or media coverage related to the project.

11. Termination

The Beautification Transformation Project reserves the right to terminate a Artist/Contestant’s participation at its sole discretion if any of the following occur:


(a) the Artist/Contestant fails to make satisfactory progress toward agreed-upon milestones or requirements;


(b) there is a change in eligibility or legal status that affects the Artist/Contestant’s ability to participate;


(c) there is a change in organizational structure or control that may jeopardize the success or integrity of the project;


(d) the Artist/Contestant has made material misrepresentations regarding the project or participation; or


(e) the Artist/Contestant has engaged in misconduct or misuse of project-related resources.

12. Use and Return of Resources


Any materials, resources, or support provided by The Beautification Transformation Project must be used solely for the intended purpose and within the designated project period. Any unused materials 
or resources must be returned or disposed of upon request or upon termination of participation.

13. Nondiscrimination


The Artist/Contestant shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, parental status, military status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, or any other protected class under applicable law in any project, activity, or interaction associated with The Beautification Transformation Project. This policy applies to relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants, partners, and the general public. Violations of this policy may result 
in termination of participation.

14. Indemnification

The Artist/Contestant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Beautification Transformation Project, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from injury to persons or property in connection with the planning, development, conduct, or implementation of the project or any related activities conducted by the Artist/Contestant.

15. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via email or phone within 14 days of judging completion. Failure to respond within 7 days may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

16. General Conditions

  • The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Artist/Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond its control impair the integrity of the event or in it’s sole discretion for any reason whatsoever.
  • All decisions by the Promoter are final.
  • By entering, pParticipants/Artist agree to release and hold harmless the Promoter its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Contest or acceptance/use of any prize.

17. Governing Law

This Contest is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
